Submission practicalities: (back to top)

  1. The Student Paper Contest is separate from and held in parallel with the regular paper submission process,

  2. Student authors wishing their papers to be considered for the Student Paper Contest must follow general submission procedures (add link) and meet the June 1st general submission deadline,

  3. In addition to general submission requirements, students must submit their complete five-page paper in two-column IEEE conference format electronically by the general June 1st submission deadline. (see paper formatting instructions)

  4. Incomplete submissions (i.e., without the complete paper uploaded by the June 1st deadline) will not be considered for the contest.

  5. Student authors whose papers are selected by the Student Paper Contest committee of judges will be asked to present their papers in a special Poster Session on Sunday afternoon (time: between 5pm and 6.30pm) as well as in the regular session assigned to them through the regular submission process.  Hence, the student author of papers selected for the Student Paper Contest will be required to present the paper twice, once in the regular session and once in the special Student Paper Contest poster session.  Note that it is possible that student authors might have to present both a lecture version in the regular session and a poster version in the special Student Paper Contest poster session, since the regular session can be either lecture or poster.

  6. Notifications of selection for the Student paper contest will be mailed to the first authors by late August.
